Subject: presentation of In Canabis Protectio Association and announcement of the Trade Fair-AveMarja that will be held in Bologna, Italy, on the 25th - 26th - 27th of April 2008.
The Association In Canabis Protectio originates from a split occurred within the “Cannabis Tipo Forte” Association, a group that in the past years has been organising trade fairs and events related to the topic of Hemp.
The activities of In Canabis Protectio are aimed at the promotion and protection of hemp, considering all forms and uses of this plant. These initiatives arise from the desire of creating a network at the national and international levels alike, which is capable of involving all the lovers of these plants in actively participating to festivals, debates and trade fairs. Our efforts are focused on encouraging a revaluation of this crop, not only for recreational purposes, but also under an environmental perspective, as well as on exploring its various industrial uses or social and cultural aspects. We are simply certain that, within a society that is currently simply forced to re-examine the means used to achieve energy production, hemp – thanks to its proven versatility – provides a viable alternative resource in many fields of current industrial production. Hemp can be used in papermaking, or as a substitute for plastic materials; as primary ingredient in the cosmetics and clothing sectors; as a resource for biofuel; as ingredient in the pharmaceutical/medicinal fields, as well as, let us stress it again, a recreational substance.
This year, some members of the original Staff who had worked at organising the previous editions of the Cannabis Tipo Forte fair in Bologna, decided to carry on separately with this project and set up another festival, that will take place as usual in the name of this Sacred plant, on 25-26-27 April 2008. The event location will be the “Parco Nord” in Bologna, where the major companies in the hemp industry both in Europe and outside Europe, will be present as standholders. Even if the organisation of this event is still at a tender seedling development stage, we have already received many requests to join this event, so we can be assured of a rich final flowering charged with active principle.
